xactly. creativity and innovation stems from a very different tree than learning numbers by heart.

I think in Finland it's also a matter of having balls to try doing something great. People get proper educations but they don't do anything with the knowledge and know-how. Just getting a decent basic job and complaining about it every day seems to be the way to go here tongue

The finns spend ridiculous amount of time, talk and money to promote "innovations", without even knowing what it really means or where it comes from, because apparently the moneymakers have announced that "innovations" are the next potential goldmine for unlimited profits.

At the same time, the real source of innovative people, the market-independent research in universities is cut down as useless and unprofitable and the real shit still happens in the places where groups of independent enthusiasts work on something with no apparent potential.

Meanwhile the forcedly built well funded idea-seminar-hype-startup-talent-workshop-projects come up with shite.

Re: Infographics

Yup, I have really started to hate the word 'innovation' because of its overuse in all kinds of sales hype. Damn disgusting.
