Am i doing the right thing?
Thank fuck for that.

im a development manager - organise events / fundraise / marketing - for an arts charity. really should be an amazing job, most people would kill for it, but i got a toxic boss.
ahh sucks, i had a boss like that last year - a total dick who was also completely unapproachable to go to when you had any problems, so i feel that pain.
thankfully that guy has moved on to other things and is no longer our manager any more...
yep sucks big time, she's a woman hater with a personality disorder, and i need to save my energy for me so ive stopped taking her on. what do you do?
ytz wrote:leave? as in never come back? what would you do?
yup. Continue doing my work and doing an internship on a side.
I could stay but would have do to a lot of shite schoolwork that I'm not interested in order to pass my year,
and there's just a lot of kindergarten shit at the academy that I don't want to deal with.but then again I would loose money from 2 goverments if I stop, duh......
cliche-time: it is alright regretting stuff you did. regretting stuff you didn't do is a total cunt - especially if it makes you poorer (voice of experience here). grasp the nettle/bite the bullet and continue doing it. think of quitting as taking your parachute off mid-fall.
it's not rock and roll, but then, neither is real life (sadly). if things were that bad, you wouldn't need to ask.
just my ha'pence worth.
Can you live off your own breast milk?
When I was younger and lived with my parents, there was a home for mentally retarded people at the end of our street.
Every day when I was coming home, one of the retards (no offense, but he actually was one) was strolling around by the mailbox outside their house, waiting for the post to be delivered.
I bet he had already checked the empty mailbox 10 times while standing there, but it was his favourite activity to guard the mailbox.
Every time when I passed him he asked me the same question: "What's the time?" (like "Oh it's three a clock already and the postman isn't here yet")
Every day the same question.
After a while I tried to outsmart him (outsmart a retard - what was I thinking? hehe) by answering his question before he asked it.
Like saying "two fifteen!" as soon as I saw him.
But he was faster all the time...
Then one day, out of the blue, he suddenly did not ask about the time, but instead he said:
"Does God really exist?"
I didn't know what to say, he took me completely by surprise.
He pwned me, I must admit
you shouldve said he exists and appatently he doesnt like you
why aren't fishfingers called fish sausages? or why aren't sausages called pork fingers??
good question!
shall i go see daf live? (in march, so still time to consider)
no
no? why not?
why the fuck did i get outta bed at 6.00am?
that's the question i ask every weekday morning too
that must be pretty grim up there in Suomiland
Can I contain my cool during this clash of recently added ego's at work? Or will I loose it and bitchslap the crap out of these nerds..!?
no? why not?
Seing DAF is not worth it imho.
I've seen them at least 3-4 times (including when they were called daf dos)
This means I've had the pleasure (?) of hearing Der Mussolini live 9-12 times (they usually play it 3 times every show)
As with many cult bands from back in the days who all of a sudden decide to do a nostalgic comeback, It could have been so much better.
But for some reason the band rarely knows what the audience wants and keep repeating themselves.
Unfortunately DAF is one of those.
Don't get me wrong: I understand their reputation and meaning in the development of music.
They were a band ahead of their time and deserve proper respect.
As a comparison, I look forward to seeing Ultravox live in when they're coming to Sweden in April.
The playlist from recent shows contains a lot of classics of course but also a lot of fantastic tracks that they could have ignored if they wanted, such as Astradyne, Mr X, I Remember (Death in the Afternoon) and We Stand Alone.
They haven't thought of playing Vienna 3 times, it seems.
If you go see DAF, let's hope they are more creative then 10-15 years ago when I saw them.
Just don't hope for too much...
that must be pretty grim up there in Suomiland
