as a joke photoshop it can be funny, but releasing the song on a bootleg and implying it's real is just rewriting history for your own gain. I'm surprised the release is still online.

Re: SOLANGE - does this record really exists?

one guy at discogs wrote a simple but clear fact why its a fake:

"By the way... Why some credit info introduced in Discogs (mixed by, recorded at) isn't printed also on B-Side, as usually occurs with any other real release (not Discotto only)?"

Re: SOLANGE - does this record really exists?

I dont get it... how come this record is still listed as an official Il Discotto 1984 release at Discogs. I would like Discogs admins to comment on this.....

1. Label artwork with black back was not used in 1984 (they were pink)
2. Il discotto logo is proved to be photoshop manipulation (bad work even with pixel differs)
3. Several sounds and effects are to new to be produced in 1984, or if it was actually produced in 84, mastering has been applied way later.
4. The catalogue number is already used by another Il Disc release
5. Compare the info cut in the vinyl with other Il Disc releases from same period and notice the difference in typography

Even the track is cool, its a disgrace that this record is listed as an official Il Discotto release imo....

Re: SOLANGE - does this record really exists?

the real Il Discotto 1045 is  Mix/Masterpiece (Artisti Vari) from 1984.

Re: SOLANGE - does this record really exists?

I think this "discotto" has served it's purpose on discogs, maybe time to remove after all. (has nothing to do with me btw...)

Re: SOLANGE - does this record really exists?

btw "robots are un-amercain" seems to be not in the spirit of the 80's. It's more actual. They should call it "robots are american".

Will it be on safety copy?
