Re: what are you listening now ?
So I read on discogs. Could be that LSE took a good look at The Haters before they went shopping for cloths.

@cebteq
That pic reminds me of Le Syndicat Electronique. Are they connected?
the haters was the guy who were helping Mark Pauline with the SRL project (anotha backyard mechanic in overalls
turn to robot building:) and was with him in the European installations for Staalplat
was big in the mid 80's k7 scene (a few tapes on Al Margolis Sound Of Pig, and one on
Debbie(MSR) Cause and Effect and K Cascone Silent, that I can remember) kind of the Yankee version of early
Merzbow/Vivenza/Whitehouse experimental noise, which was typically distributed by RRR at the time.
kind of thing you listen to when you feel frustrated.
LSE got more style when he put his mask on(and has the gun to go with it to in the pictures:). I'd like to think
he'd draw the looks more from Die Form then The Haters
Muslimgauze - Morphina Gobi

O.k. thanks for the info e, r. Visited the shop Staalplaat in Amsterdam (in their last days cause it's gone now) once in Amsterdam and found this a kinda weird shop. I felt like: "Huh, interesting but not for me..." Maybe I wasn't frustrated enough.

Septicstudio, could you give me some recommendations in the Muslimgauze catalogue? I have about 5 albums from him they have that eastern vibe too often and I'm not very keen on that sound, there's one song that I have on cd and that I really really love and that's Mount Of Olives, has he done similar stuff? Would be great if you could give me some tips about it.

Thx! I have Gun Aramaic Part 2, not bad but too much in the same vein, will check that boxset and the others.
edit: 333 euro for that box, phiew!

@ hysteric
"hmmm i really want that record, ..."
-> yeah, me too! but too expensive... like most of that stuff....
seems like it's been repressed last week, might have even be a legit one since all the sellers are from Belgium
and it's a 150gr vinyl, BUT they still want too much for it
Daniel Menche
Crash Course In Science box set on VOD
sound quality is ace, records are packaged in beautiful sleeves (and they're all different!! unlike earlier VOD box sets where all the sleeves just repeat the box set artwork) + printed inner sleeves with lyrics and shit + a really kool t-shirt
Frank, you're the man!

I have no doubt it's a bootie, why the fuck it costs 40 Euros and carries the same label and cat# if it's officially re-released?
great 80's tangerine dream
Still listening to Muslimgauze, 2 days non stop and counting
