techno i not dead, house is not dead, detroit is not dead, chicago is not dead.
but it all do not exists in THIS form anymore.
what i mean is, the genres are 90s. by now, it all exist, but...hmm..let me explain for example why house not exist AS house.
if you have a house record by moodymann, you can play it maybe together with a funk record from isaac hayes, with oldschool hip hop jams (lets say stron island by jvc force) and so on, but YOU wont play it with other house records like from the "disco boys" if u know wot i mean.

so all of this kinds of music reaches their next step in evolution, and at the end there are only 2 styles left:
good and bad.

interesting point elec pt.1! BUT there are djs like STROBOCOP from BERLIN who draw a bow from minimal like ostgut/sub static to old dj.ungle fever to moodymann to funky electro to alittle bit of disco and back to recent techno-stuff to a record like "mr. white - the sun can't compare". and the crowd gets WILD! and it WORKS!

You make it sound like you have to be intelligent to listen to Techno... Good to know there's hope for me smile

Anyway, this is your point of view and that's okay ofcourse, but I totally disagree with it. I like Italo for over 25 years now and I'm still not bored with it. Same goes for Disco by the way.
