haha yeah, that just came in my mind after I took the offer from the AH supermarket for reduced filet.
I'm shure they made that extra for the naive ones like me, to get rid of their pigmeat before the whole country is contaminated. Happy queensday!

Re: pandemia

I wonder why they still alow flights to/from Mexico. Only a doctor has to be on board in german airplanes, but what can he do, when someone just caught the infection one day ago?? People bring it over here anyway, with or without doctor

Reality is just a simulation

Re: pandemia

This is pretty sick:
'good news for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and other politically connected investors in Gilead Sciences, the California biotech company that owns the rights to Tamiflu, the influenza remedy that's now the most-sought after drug in the world'.
Full article:
http://money.cnn.com/2005/10/31/news/ne … _rumsfeld/

And mind this; Tamiflu is no cure, nor does it prevent... it's a pain reliever and in my point of view a pretty dangerous one.
Read the first part of the tamiflu myth here:
http://www.brojon.org/frontpage/the_tamiflu_myth.html
It's pretty clear why you should stay away from medicine like Tamiflu; it lowers your pain and side effects but most of all it lowers your fever. Your body build up fever to contain the virus from replicating further in your body. Lowering you fever will not kill the virus, and this way Tamiflu improves the chance you die of viral pneumonia (long ontsteking).
The best way to fight flu is by your own immune system. Start now to improve your immune system by eating healthy, and take vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants.
Everyone is able to double the strength of your immune system in less than 2 weeks...

Re: pandemia

@Obi: Tamiflu belongs to these "anti-neuraminidase (infection helpers of the virus)" medicine... And of course it's a curative therapy acting by inhibition of these infection helpers (figured in the lower left side of the pic)..
But not at all a preventive one, let's be clear wink

Re: pandemia

@AratkiLo, I've been reading quite a few articles now about Tamiflu, and my conclusion is Tamiflu does the same a healthy human being can do as well.

Re: pandemia

i think obi is right, it's the same with normal flu as well. taking aspirin or paracetamol just lowers your fever which means the body's ability to fight the infection/virus is lowered. i personally try to take very few drugs when i'm ill, and so far i've always recovered quickly. knock knock.

Re: pandemia

we will see how this developes , they say it might take months and really spread in winter during the normal time for flu. Wonder what it will be like in 2 months when i visit the uk hmmm, funny tthe media is more worried about this than bird flu, but wanst that deadlier.

I forgot that Rumsfeld receives profits on Tamiflu. The bastard is still getting our tax money!

Have you read some of the side effects of Tamiflu? I mean, if you take it as a preventative measure, I am not sure how you would tell if you had the flu or if it was a side effect.

fuck tamiflu and the horse it rode in on....

Yeah, like I mentioned earlier, less than 5% lethal. Bird flu is 55% lethal!

Re: pandemia

way more people die of the 'regular' flu ... i think it's kind of silly to expect the general public to comprehend the WHO's pandemic levels system when they are just seen as 'scores' and 6 is the highest
if there was a level 10, i'm sure the common cold would surpass it, and oh my god, it's also incurable.
