but it can also feel good to find some really good stuff after the harvesters did their thing.
isn't belguim full of fled ex-pimps from rotterdam? i remember meeting one of them exact types, driving a jag if i remember correctly, when looking for a gas station in brasschaat.
this was my worst nightmare ever:
some years ago i entered a record shop. a guy was hearing some records.
in front of him were two bags full of records.
i recognized some IL DISCOTTO sleeves and asked him:
"oh, were you have bought all this records?
he answered: " in a 2nd hand shop just around the corner, every record 1 euro!"
i asked him:
"Can i have a look?"
(ok, i know, wrong question).
he said: "why not?"
inside the bags:
around 30 - 40 italo 12" records:
spacer woman, three delirium records, cellophane, some superradio, LATF, ... nearly all in that league...
i jumped to that store in the stupid hope to find some more.
the shop owner said:
"oh, i just did some new records in the shop yesterday, but one person bought them all two hours ago..."
A quick popsike check tell me that the last evil-bay auction of a similair shape copy of my 80 cent bin find went for 555 USD.. crazy people.. it's a lovely track, but that's just insane.

personally,was quite happy to find a perfect copy of sensitive - don't stop on sensation for a couple of euro's last week ! never find those kind of rare italo babies in paris usually !
but i need urgently some bucks so gotta re-sell it

Your nightmare, but the dream of every vinyl lover; finding a collection of fantastic records dirt cheap. You can imagine how cheap the shop owner bought those.

got my copy of Scopex 2 for
my dad just sold the house of a dead man to a good family-friend. my dad told me their was some records and some old audio gear that i might be interested in and that our family-friend wouldn't mind and infact would be happy to have us get rid of some of the stuff in this place (the place is absolutely a mess, rats running around everywhere). anyways i wasn't expecting to find much besides some barbara streissand records. the first record i see when i walk in the place is einzelganger lp in perfect condition looks like it hasn't even been played and cover is in the plastic wrap!!! unfortunately the rest of his collection isn't any similar to that but still some good stuff (of what i've gone through so far, still have to go back). i got some old rock stuff, pink floyd, the left banke, iron butterfly, cat stevens, neil young, etc. feels weird that i'm taking these records from some dead dudes house. i had to get out of their quick cause my dad had to go to work but i'm going to go back and theres several more records EVERYWHERE in the house...bathroom, kitchen. if you pick something up theres probably a record under it. as for the audio gear - it looked as though it was just a bunch of old record players, 8-track players, 4-trak players, and 8-tracks everywhere surrounding the room. there's some other funky lookin stuff i don't even know what it is also some sweet headphones. i'll see what comes of the next visit there.
