and Klart is right, it's an investment (depends of course on the records you buy) and you didn't spend it on porn or telephone sex (that speaks for your bird).
also i believe there are lots of "hobbies" that are much more expensive than collecting records (depends again of course on the records you collect). for ex collecting cars (or tuning) or collecting watches, paintings, etc.

yesterday, i did some changes in my studio. moved things that i haven't moved for a while... well... it's kind of dusty.
