The Sot-Weed Factor, by John Barth

Such a funny and amazing book. Full of adventure. But 760 pages long, and written in 18th-century English, making it a pretty slow read. Recommended for fans of Thomas Pynchon.

Brainwash, by Dominic Streatfeld

Is it the one where he surmises that the KKK are the only truly fascist group under his working definition.

Re: What are you robots reading right now?

been going through a couple of things lately.

About half way through Cormac McCarthy's The Road

http://www.timlebbon.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/the-road-cormac-mccarthy1.jpg

A bleak, post-apocolyptical tale of a a man and a sons love for one another.

Just finished Will Self's Junk Mail.
A compendium of his newspaper atricles, features, reviews and interviews. Amazing stuff. Well worth the read.
http://www.rickmcgrath.com/self_art/self_junkmail.jpg

In this he (or someone he is speaking to) recommends, for one reason or another, some other books. Two of which Ive picked up today.

Martin Amis's London Feilds and Will Self's Cock and Bull

http://img1.fantasticfiction.co.uk/images/n2/n14558.jpghttp://www.housmans.com/images/London%20Fields.jpg

both look set to be meaty reading.
