haha! I love the console 606!!
I want padded armrests on all my gear. even the rack gear. you never know when your arms might get tired.

That last 606 is a pain in the ass to program.
Have a good look at the step butons!

~Looks like the keyboard has come away from the housing..
@Pauli, that is awful!
leopardskin + minimoog = uber-coolex
Well at least an 808 has the Afro rythms!
looks like a synth they would sell on the Albert Cuyp market
no. that's just wrong.
I just made this at home
Before:
Ugly science-fiction plastic crap
After: Straight from Miami beach.
looks also kinda neat with the blue leds
^ 100% improvement !
Yeah before it was an evil tiesto keyboard that would only let me make overcompensated supersaw-trannzzze arpeggios.
Now it produces fluffy synth leads and warm basslines with occasional rainbows coming from the midi out.
btw crosslinking to the "monosynth from dave smith"-thread: If I was you Pauli, I'd customize the hell out of the mopho - the good thing is whatever you do it can only make it look better.
yes the p08 knobs fit on the Mopho.
A while back i asked DSI if it would be possible to buy a set for the Mopho
and they said that should be possible.
planning on creating a pro one look ?
Had that idea a while back, but since i've seen Hans Olofs bare metal Mopho
that is probably what i go for if i feel the need for customizing this yellow brick of uglyness.
,,,even think it will sound even better when it's not yellow
this is a project that must be done!
Mein Gott ... actually I like the color scheme but not too crazy about the logo
It will!
I wonder if it's possible to get a sticker produced with the same technique, just different graphics.
It could also be a thin metal plate, like the name tags on the Pro-One.
It is called lexan the material, a silkscreener can print that...even in transparant material, so you can see the leds under it...the polyevolver and moog voayger SSm uses it also...
Its available with one side adhesive and the brand is 3M
check this out hehe
Hey Septic ... that is what I wanted to post ... wow
Yes thanks,
I already found a local company that uses the same process :
http://www.reproblb.com/en/overlays.shtml
I wrote to DSI asking for the original artwork or template, bid timing I guess because they must be busy with their new product.
I could just remeasuyre everything of course, and possibly scan the original sticker (or Hans Olof could send me a scan of his if he kept it?).
It would save time to have the original. I did'nt ask for a quote yet, I wonder how expensive to have a small batch manufactured.
hmm seems that there is a special pot version already of the Mopho desktop

@tony, I hope they will send you the vector lineart of the frontpanel, but if that doesnt go, there a lots of very big frontpanel pics on google.images those can be altered, as the bigger P5 style pots will overlay the shadow part I think, you can just recolor it then. But for sure the original vector drawing from DSI will work best I suppose.
example: http://www.dsisynth.com/photos/mopho1-ko.jpg
btw: those transparant lexanoverlays are printed on the back, so that you wont scratch off the inkt. It is printed in reverse. Black layer, then yellow, then orange.
NOTE: for display only as I don't have a Mopho yet to measure properly...
Just a rough mock-up.. needs a little more work. Artwork available in illustrator.
