ha! you know what you are doing!

Thats also a great idea indeed to stick that beneath and around the box.

Re: customized synths

GREAT JOB!!

I can jut grab your file and fit it to my or DSI's template.

Good decisions too, I hadn't thought of Pro-Two and filter / amp, I'd put trigger instead of test though.

The font is very close but no quite the same as the Pro-One's.
Do you know how to give a silkscreen smudge effect? I don't.

If I go through with making the stickers, I can easily do the wood sides too, my friend's wood shop is only a few minutes away.

Re: customized synths

yep once we have finalized the design I will add a little bit of bleed on the White that will look like that. I will finish it up this week and off we go. Any other revisions you can think of?

Re: customized synths

few things:

1 . Looks great !
2.  will this be self adhesive ?
3.  i want one anyway  smile
4.  the Mopho has endless encoders, so although the numbers 0 - 10 around the knobs look nice
they wouldn't really make sense .... only for volume and input gain it would.
5.  this will look great on Hans Olofs bare metal Mopho.

Re: customized synths

By the way guys I still haven't heard from DSI, also I got bored of that cryptic little box pretty quick and gave it back to my friend. That means it would be more trouble to get the proper measurements and I don't have any real interest in doing so.

That said I wouldn't mind  getting the actual stickers produced and mailing them to anybody who'd be interested.  As I said I have a supplier in mind, I'd just need the actual vector design to get an estimate from them.

Re: customized synths

Hi,
I bought my MS-20 in the Netherlands about 10 years ago. it has these funny mods and i dont knwo what they're for. i have tried many "tests" bu all was pointless.
has anyone of you here seen mods like these before?
on the photo, the mods are circled.
if anyone here could shed some light on this, it would be amazing!

Re: customized synths

that JX3p looks good, but all I can think of is how much effort went into doing that and it's still just a jx3p.....

As for the MS20 - quick answer would be to open the thing up and see where (if anywhere!) the mods go.

if you've never heard the knob or anything into or out of those 2 jacks effect any aspect of the sound while playing or sequencing your ms-20, then maybe they're not connected to anything?

Re: customized synths

Hi No-Fi,
thanks for the answer. I thought about it myself as well but have you ever taken an MS-20 apart? its not the most comfortable feeling wink, a feeling i was trying to avoid with tha earlier post.
nonetheless! my screwdriver is at hand and if no interesting piece of informtion arises from that post, i believe your way is the only way after all...

Re: customized synths

take off the side panels theyre easy to do. then you can see inside

Re: customized synths

i figured it it out, for those of you who might be interested! figured it out by accident after opening the synth and being overwhelmed by the condensed wires and dust..
anyhow, there is a circuit there that receives triggers in its input and sends out triggers in in a "filtered" pattern in return. for example, if you send in a trigger in a 4/4 rhythm, you can set this mod (by using a knob) to send out a trigger on every 2nd trigger received, or 3rd, 4th,5th, 6th, 7th, 16th, 20th and 24th so you can create grooved basslines and leads on a standard 4/4 rhythm for example (and that just the simplest use i guess).
I am extremely happy about this! this machine also has MIDI but triggers are so much fun!

cheers and thanks for the help!
