I still need to be convinced I need a mixer.

I have 16 inputs total on the computer, so Ableton is really my mixer for now, including sends to outboard effects.

and this computer keyboard, is it this expensive one from protools or somthing else? once i saw them around 699

yeah but only for the thin apple keyboards, plus mine has way more mappings and colours tongue (makes looking for specific grouped commands way easier.)

Especially when you look at the numeric keypad, there are all the transportbuttons, record, solo/mute, locators at, very handy

But I do agree its way overpriced, on the other hand its really great for your speed while working in Logic.

I like the logickeyboard skin, the plastic sheet that you put over the keys. Very cheap, easy to exchange and it protects the keyboard from dirt. And you can just take it away when you're fed up with it.
And as Computerdisco says, it makes the keyboard feel different (nicer I'd say). I don't like the feel of those thin mac keyboards.
