Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

@Screen
We should check the Vox, my guitarist uses an ac15 and ac30 and that's what we dialed on the pod.
Nice guitars btw, the one in my pic is a lefty fender jag.

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

yeah the Vox does a good job of replicating the AC's as well as Fenders.

thx about the guitars! i was wondering if that guitar you had was a lefty jag or jazzmaster..

also, what is in front of the reel to reel in your photo?

worship the potentiometer.

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

Where's the Buchla and EMS? @Mono/Poly

You sold them Off?

Planet of Cevo

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

The Buchla is shining right in front above the black 5U hordijk modules left from the Serge suitcase.
The EMS Synthi lays before the Serge suitcase.
I sold the Blue Wiard system and did order a massive amount off Malekko/Wiard modules which will be house in a similar case as the Serge.

thanx, altho I don't know if my monitors are setup right this way. If im using the mixer they're kinda outta position big_smile

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

Great gear stentec, but doesn't it bother you having the monitors stuff in the corner like that?  I imagine that would be a bass and stereo imaging nightmare!

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

Ah sorry, you entered your response before I had submitted mine.

Yes, that is one of the worst possible places you could have your monitors!     yikes

yes total horror. a shame to put them there but I just can't figure out what to do sad
only thing i could come up with is to mount the rack vertically on the wall on the side of my 808 and then I have huge desk available.

my setup was like on the photo but then I had just no comfortable space to sit in front of my computer.

Hey I've been there before.  Sucks.   I think that's why I'm so into proper monitor placement these days.  It makes a big difference for sure.

Can you mount them on the wall?  If that window is in the center of the room, mounting them on either side of the window looks like a good compromise.

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

I could do that yes but maybe it isnt a bad idea to mount the mixer on the wall.
Gives me more space, the mixer will be better accesible (check my new picture of my setup and you see the mixer being cut-off by the photo. It is behind a wardrobe from that point big_smile)
and I can have the computer setup centered behind the window.
Or maybe just another mixer? A nice super sweet sounding smaller mixer... argh.. !!!

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

Oh I thought you meant racks against the wall...mixer mounted vertically on the wall shouldn't be too bad at all.  I forget who, but someone in "how I sold my soul to the machine" had a Soundcraft Ghost mounted vertically and I thought it looked awesome!

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

maybe I should just dump the gf and destroy that huge wardrobe that's sucking my studiospace.

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics

Yes but gf's wardrobe might be useful as a bass trap...best to keep her around for now.   smile

Re: New COCKpits & GearPics
