Ooru naito rongu 2: Sanji aka All Night Long part 2
a really disturbing piece of Japanese sicko movies.
Part 1 is really shit and 3 to x probably not as good but Part 2 is really worth seeing

haha, a true test for any carpenter fan. imo this is secretly a shit film - but becuz it's carpenter there's some seductive about it.
another classic carpenter sign - first act: great; second act: good; third act: ummm...
i love the village setting, the church and the hills.... but it has to be one of the weakest premises for "horror" in carpenter

You're right man, it is one of the poorer ones. It has a real TV quality to it, which makes it an ok late night one.
It has moments tho, plus I love listening to that wee child shouting "Mrs Kobritz" for hours

both of you can get to fuck. This is up there with my favourite carpenters!!!
edit: sorry. I will give a better explanation than just "get to fuck". Although this may seem a some what weak excuse for 'horror' this also is a hark back to proper old school tales. The kind of legends passed down from fisherman to fisherman. The scenes are brilliant, the acting is great and the setting is perfect for this nautical ghost tale. I love the constant shots of old radios, clearly referencing the only way of communication through the thick, dark and unknown fog.
I fuckin love the fog...!
i love the film too man
very few directors could make it so watchable - why i said "secretly shit". let's face it, if joe dante directed it... well. it wouldn't be gremlins.
it reminds me of the birds and camus' the plague, also that klaus weltman LP, even lovecraft - an isolated community defending itself against an apparently supernatural threat.
also i rofl'd at being told to get to fuck. lol. like a family reunion...
I like wee Andy's man outfits.
Good 70's adult garb on a 10 year old, or early 80's that be.
I don't think Mrs Kobritz is up to much as a babysitter tho.
good to hear your both on my side... the right side.
The Fog is not secretly shit. It's stunning!
and Mrs Kobritz is a great babysitter! Does the kid die? No. Therefore she did a good job.
I'm off to get a Stomach Pounder and a Coke.
okay, there was two genuinely freaky moments in this film. They shouldve taken them and cut this to 20 minutes. utter drivel.
took a while for this to click. but its briliant. The leading actress is fuckin superb!!
edit: and hey! 100 pages of movies
