It's good. Toshirō Mifune from the Kurosawa films is one of the main characters. He's amazing.

i agree, seen it last night, and was completely underwhelmed...
a little bit of intentionally enigmatic stuff can be a good thing (like say, tom bombadil in LOTR never being explained, springs to mind), but everything like that just felt completely lazy in lost, and wasn't used to good effect.
there was so much irrational behaviour from so many of the characters: one of the worst examples was jacob being given a choice to 'protect' the light on the island (whatever the fuck that actually is, another unanswered question...), and just accepting it and consigning his life away WITHOUT EVEN ASKING what the fuck it is that he's supposed to be protecting, and from who, and for what reason... just so many moments like that that resulted in sheer frustration for me!
having said everything like that though, the last season was entertaining telly...
glad it's over!
