Re: What movies/tv shows are you robots watching?!
I saw Inception yesterday and I think it’s just an ordinary action movie; I can compare it with jumper when they jump from one place to another

Watching Festen on public television here once again. It's part of a Scandinavian filmseries that's running now on t.v. Saw Mifune's Last Song yesterday (never saw that one). These Dogma-films have some directness to it I kind of like.

KIck-Ass: trashy disposable teen comic book charade. unimpressive.
The Ghost Writer: utterly ridiculous highly entertaining tale of espionage. worth it.
Un Prophete: multi-dimensional life of a young prison revolutionary. brilliant.
Pretty crazy ass movie and brilliant psycho music!
The Girl Who Played with fire ... Bourne Identity but about the sex trade?
Get low
About a hermit who plans his own funeral party
me didn't like it, thought it was very boring/annoying
Saw The Beyond a few days ago. Fulci's obsession with eye gouging and mutilation is a bit too much for me!
had time for some classics lately:
Santo el Enmascarado de Plata vs 'La invasión de los marcianos'
Irreversible
Did like the latter much, eagerly waiting for Enter The Void.
The Fountain... Imo a would-be-deep artsy-fartsy mess constructed on top of a few very simple ideas. Nice cinematography and special effects, but it just didn't do it for me. It is fairly short for a modern film, but the one and a half hours felt soooo long.
Bought and watched:
And for a short moment I thought it would be a good movie to watch when you're alone at home on a saturday night.
love it
havent found anything good to watch lately...
Gasper Noé 'Enter the Void' (2009)
Rafi Pitts 'The Hunter' (Iran/Ger 2010)
Quanan Wang 'Apart Together' (Taiwan 2010)
each are excellent
love it
It's a great movie, no doubt.
Bought Haneke's "The Seventh Continent" as well so I think that's coming up next. Seen that before though so I have a clue what to expect..
Arno Frisch was also good in the original Funny Games but there was something missing with that one. Maybe a bit too Quentin Tarantinoish.
yes, been planning to watch The 7th...
also 71 Fragments....
and Code Unknown....
lets see if I can handle those one after another...
When you're strange
Saw the premiere of The Expendables. It was actually better than I expected, very entertaining
A wee cracker of an animation.
Grand Torino is a really good film. I had a good cry. Clint Eastwood is great in it and the car is a beast
Over the last week:
Cop Out: Kevin Smith directs, someone else wrote it, but you can't really tell that. Seann William Scott steals the whole thing. But there were laughs. It wasn't great though.
Sonic Outlaws: Documentary about Plunderphonics, the Negativland / U2 case (including an interesting phone conversation between Negativland and The Edge) and the aftermath when Emergency Broadcast Network were hired for the ZooTV tour. Very funny, great soundwork and fascinating subject matter.
A Dirty Shame: Very entertaining sleazy sex trash from John Waters. I can't believe it took me so long to see this one, but I'm rewatching all the Waters' movies.
I have a ticket to see Tetsuo: The Bullet Man and Enter The Void. Can't fucking wait!
What a movie! And the actors!
Miravalles, the only to find is from 1961:
