yeah good show, new series is south america only huh, looking forward.
Its great, the series begins where the Amazon starts as a glacier/mountain stream and then meanders through Brazil etc. 3rd one last night and Bruce Parry met with an old tribe he stayed with for the program 'Tribe', and was told of a lot of deaths of young tribe members through varients of the disease hepititus which was quite sad, and how some tribes are beginning to be quite westernised and in doing so are the ones being afftected with deaths/disease etc and those tribes that maintain the old ethos/way of living are flourishing with a far healthier outlook. He also met/stayed with some woodsmen and got there side of the story which when you have thousands and thousands of miles of forest you can understand that the only way to make and earn a living is to use what they have on their back door so to speak. Theres also lots of old rituals smoking & drinking god knows what with loads of gagging & vomitting too, just like Tribe.
Cannot recommend this enough Jay, seriously great viewing.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!
X2!
b'jesus, trap door...
@captainduran & il mafioso: yeah, i was disappointed to see that dubbing was used; totally detracts from the experience, also for me it seems to run against the whole spirit/ethos of ARTE as a channel, i was surprised...i mean, these days there is very little quality european cinema shown on TV in Britain (on any channels ), but where it is shown it's thankfully always subtitled...
.
just watched this
nothing amazing but it was highly entertaining
it was good to hear colin farrell act with his dublin accent for a change
Just watched this. Like living in Mark D. Chapman for 80 mins.
Jared Leto pwns and gained 67 pounds to play Chapman by drinking microwaved pints of ice cream mixed with soy sauce and olive oil every night.[6] At times, he had to use a wheelchair due to the stress of the sudden increase in weight put on his body.[7]
hehe
i guess it s oscar time for him, because thats some good acting
saw the new film by director Nicolas Roeg (The Man Who Fell To Earth, Performance)... people actual booed! it was that good!

what about heath ledger. id bet big money on him
I very much doubt it now. 'The Dark Night' came out way too early this year for major Oscar consideration. Without trying to sound insensitive, the Ledger sympathy vote and hype has pretty much petered out and now there are some serious heavy hitting Oscar contenders filtering through like The Wrestler and Chapter 27. He might make the list of nominations but I'm hedging my bets on Rourke.
*I though Ledger was OK as The Joker, but it wasn't that amazing.

suppose your right.
about the nominations, not ledger
I thought he was really good but Im gonna have to check out the wrestler and chapter 27 now
well whoever gains the most wait wins ofcourse.
Im voting for Rourke!
Poor Jared Leto is really amazing on chapter 27. But theres no way they're gonna give an Oscar to a movie about the killer of John Lennon. They didn't even had any publicity and didn't showed the movie in some countries.......goddam Yoko + Macca.
rourke getting an oscar is even dumber then giving it to someone (tom hanks, charlize theron) for gaining wait, that mofo cant act for shit.
nice guy and all but look at that fucking bon jovi haircut man, bring forth the guillotine.
Im voting for Rourke!
