But among them, I also discovered a movie called "angst" from Gerald Kargl. Incredible thriller

Yeah very nice, after watching Scorpio Rising, I bought the all bloody Kenneth Anger collection (not cheap as well, imported, couldnt find it region 2). I really love his work, its very unic
Did you see Angst? this movie has some serious cult fan base lol very obsessed fans who have been screaming for a dvd for years, finally they made a DVD last year, very good edition. The guy only made one movie, but what a movie, incredible!

No, I haven't seen Angst yet, but it's been on my radar for quite a while! I'm down to just 24 unseen movies in my collection right now. Will make sure Angst is in the the first batch after this is all over

my favorite character in da movie is played by real-life uncle tom sam jackson because as one of the characters suggests: niggers want to be slaves. unless im totally missing the point and quentin is really trying to say 'kill whitey' in which case i wholeheartedly agree, or, maybe he's only pleasing an audience of dimwits who cant see beyond the violence and lame humor that make this movie blatanly racist by making light of slavery. who ever gave this whiteboy the right to make a movie about slavery?

Django was okay. Definitely contrived, like you would expect a Tarantino movie about slavery to be. What really pisses me off is that people are going to think this is what Django is... the stealing bastard even used the Bacalov theme from the original at the beginning of the movie.
Aren't Quantum Tarantula's movies only about the glorification of violence as an art form: reservoir dogs, pulp fiction, jackie brown, killbill... the stories suck and ideas are stolen, but the guns and killing sure look good.
Tarantino's movies are entertainment. And he has every right to make it. Slavery, extreme violence, racism and copying styles from the past aren't taboo. Tarantino can do whatever he wants with it, not because of his ethnic background but because what he does is art and open for discussion.
I see his copying of obscure theatrical styles as an ode to past innovators.
