best tragicomedy ever?

Maniac (2012) - I'm normally not one for horror remakes, but I'd heard good things. Aside from a few moments where I laughed a lot, there were some interesting alienation techniques, that actually made the thing very very creepy. It's slimy, recommended!

The Lords Of Salem - I'm also not a big fan of Rob Zombie, I refused to watch the Halloween remakes out of weird loyalty. Lords Of Salem has some clunky acting some bits that seem more MTV than an actual film, but it's strangely enjoyable. It's like a less skilled Ken Russell directing an old school satanic panic movie. Worth watching.

Snakes On A Plane - Amazing, totally worth waiting until after the hype to watch this. I don't know why people felt so disappointed by this, it was super-trash-fun-time.

House Of The Devil - A slow burner but a fucking intense atmosphere, soundtrack is pretty funny, acting is superb in my opinion.

Sorcerer - I can't believe it took me so long to see this, hands down one of the greatest, most intense movies I have ever seen in my entire life.
