I had a Back to the Future marathon.
First two are still good after all that time, but the 3rd one was quite painfull to watch.
Driller Killer....not my kinda movie, but there was a few lol moments - although they were probably menat to be shocking
The 50's Blob...well...really bad movie. People who hold this in high regard must not have very high standards...you hardly even see the damn blob, most of the movie goes with the futile attempt of trying to pass steve mcqueen of as a teenager
@cf remember the Pizza Hut sunglasses to promote back to the future 2?
@vomatron, i haven't seen the 80's blob in a loooong time, def need to re-watch that. also forgot mcqueen was in the 50's version!
just watched
Frank Zwartjes
-Pentimento-
dutch experimental movie.
awesome movie,awesome soundtrack.
.
i enjoyed this film. it's nothing amazing or out of the ordinary but the acting was good and sincere and the music was pretty
good as well. a lot of hip hop (tribe called quest, biggie, etc.) because of the setting (1994). it also won an award at
sundance festival.
that street above in brooklyn must be the most overused location in nyc for movie posters
.
"Milk Run" episode of maimi vice season 1...the most badass so far. If all the episodes were like this id never leave the house
"remember the Pizza Hut sunglasses to promote back to the future 2?
haha, haven't seen those. Mega cool!
@cs That Historias Minimas poster is great!

I just saw the "Theresa" episode on TV the other night. Jan Hammer's brilliant music for this episode and Helena Bonham Carter as the heroin addicted Theresa is just as magical to watch as when I first saw it in the mid eighties.
I've just seen Dead Mans Shoes. It's brilliant. Realistically shot movie about an avenger as badass as Bronston.
MagLun: Seems "theresa" is in season 3..long way to go still ! But will get there eventually...to be honest miami vice never meant much to me back "then" , but seing it now it brings back the time, and i understand its popularity - and it seems it just gets better every episode. If so ill definetely make it to season 3 in the near future

The show strays a bit from it's cool formula after season 1, but every now and then there's a good one, like Theresa.

delicious. anyone with a taste for beautifully filmed, subtle intrigue should check it out. Bresson is just about my favourite director anyway, but I reckon this tops Pickpocket, and is almost on a level with Au Hasard, Balthasar & L'Argent...essentially all of his films are incredible, but some are denser/more abstract than ohters...total antidote to the lacklustre pish that is modern cine-auteur I.M.O

enjoy! wish i had more (well, any really) dvds at my disposal out here. feel like i'm in a bit of film/culture void til i get home
New James Bond "Quantum Of Solace" .. loud and dumb, don't bother. Also makes no sense and is badly filmed with jerky camera style which got old a few years ago.

that annoys me how in these movies they just make it so loud and try and sway your emotions through these noises when the scene itself is a bunch of shit. it's like they're just realizing how sound affects humans and the jerky camera style doesn't work even when you're sober but even worse when you've had a couple to drink. haven't heard anything good about this movie yet.
