pretty nice
Begotten, had to stop it, ive seen a lotta crazy shit, but this is probably the most fucked up thing ever
can't wait to see herzogs bad lieutenant....
Ferrera comments on BL 09:
"In a June 2008 interview with The Guardian, Abel Ferrara, who directed and co-wrote the original Bad Lieutenant (1992), said that finding out his movie was being remade was "a horrible feeling", "like when you get robbed", and that those involved in this remake "should all die in hell". He also wondered how Nicolas Cage "can even have the nerve to play Harvey Keitel", and called screenwriter William M. Finkelstein an idiot."
prepare to be disappointed really badly.
herzog raped the movie, some say it's a dark comedy i would say it's more of a parody, i bet it's secretly one off herzogs favorite movies but he's too proud to say so he disses.
herzogs tells that he has not seen the original... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1095217/trivia
hehee, there's more drama here:

The original is so violently great that i don't want to see this remake ( and i don't feel Nicolas Cage into this )
I fucking hate nicholas cage.....
i dont even dislike cage, he's cool in some movies, like wild at heart, leaving las vegas, adaptation and face off (one of the best over the top nonsense action movie to me).
and yeah i love that abel ferrarara is a halfass director with really shitty movies on his name, but that he made two that hit the nail on the head in every sense and every scene (at least to me).
bad lieutenant is one of the my favoriet movies ever (the funeral too), port of call is one of the worst.
dont wanna see the remake either...I also loved Cage in Raising Arizona and Vampire's Kiss (riot! ) and the ones Jay mentioned of course
is strange after hating on hollywood for so long herzog tries to make a hollywood "gem" with this and rescue dawn -both times fails. i like herzog cuz he's evil and shows no shame in exploiting misery

He lives for our misery
i thought rescue dawn was ok
both were ok, i mean the guy knows films (he better) but they failed to pass into the mainstream. Ithink also hes getting lazy using some past tricks. like the dancing 'chicken' in bad lieutenant. the guys en enigma maybe he jsut doing these movies for his fans
i feel herzog knows more trickery to get people to think his art is interesting while abel ferrera has no clue, it's like a great line from capone and noreaga, you like the brain i like the heart.
edit: does that make sense
it does, sometimes i think herzog doesnt know why the hell he does certain things but he even said films are the greatest poetry cuz you can say things there you cant in words. (does that make sense?)
i think the original BL is good only because keitel is a nutjob
I havent seen raising arizona or leaving las vegas. These are the only two films I would watch him in, just cause everyone else says they are great.
for me, Face-off is gut wrenchingly painful to watch.
Ive owned this film for about 7 or 8 months now and never gotten round to watching it.

i dont know ive watched it again and again, it really is something else to me
lead has no name
the catholism
the incorporation of the world series
the nun who can just forgive
the junky girl who is so pretty in her decay
the music
the grimey streets
ok gonna watch it again
it's the only dvd i spend more than

I like dumb and dumber. haha.
just watched Andrei Rublev. Wow. powerful cinema. Don't quite 'get it' all. I think I need to read up about the man a wee bit first, or have a better understanding of 15th century russia. But none of this detracts from how beautiful and mesmorising this film is.
