yeah, kind of. The day today came before brasseye and it was the program where alan partridge first appeared. The day today was a surreal take on a news at ten. Then they moved onto current affairs / crimewatch thing with brasseye.
Its brilliant.
that's "the day today" which preceeded brass eye and was the foundation of steve coogan's partridge character.
armando ianucci went on to do the fantastic "the thick of it" series... he's a bit of a midas it seems.
