I got the blue and red version and they sound fine, smudgey but definitly not distorted, maybe its worn out or something... there are some (cheap) re-issues of the acid life with better mastering and bigger vinyl space.
yes I saw them, but, are they not remix edits? I play i need a friend for now, so i can do without until I found another copy. Great record btw, I also like the first track of the other side ...
edit: I check an mp3 of the acid life, seems distorted as well... I mean, maybe COMPLETELY distorted is way too much, but it has some distortion, seems the volumes were cracked up too much, or something ...

Ow i don't know if it are edits or remixes I think I have some of those new compilations that had the Acid Life original on it, don't remember the name though.
I think its the same compilation which had a super mastered version of Fred Brown's Roman days on it, thats an epic floor-mayhem-burn-banger too btw
