i always thought hip hop and all its bravado should be the lingua frana of the megamix, although david vunk knocks that arguement on its head with his italo mix

You never know if there will be a supadupa megamix. That is a given point. Yet seeing the reactions in 2009 the levels seem to be far from satisfactory. The input is of course always professional. However at such a point discretion is advised. The marketing was not-existent this year, which is very disappointing. An improvement might be to install a working group. All major awards have an electioncommision. This might function as both a catalyst and a filter. Then again the competition might be better of dead.
Did IFX say the 2009 Mega Mix Contest was "the last one ever"?

I still haven't listened to all the 2009 entries but I already look forward to another competition.
IFM radio with all the good programs/tracks is great (and so was the CBS) but IMHO what make the station awsome are the extra features such as the Top 100, MMC and similar.
How many robots do you think found the CBS (or at least the music we love) because of the Top 100? Many I guess.
Personally I listen more to mixes posted at R4R than IFM. But once the IFM puts the MMC or similar on the air, I'm there.
I love mixes, I guess.
Please, more MMC's...
By the way: what was the final results?

uh BMX won? Too bad, due too that server failure and lack of energy I stopped listening then...
I would have voted the guy that played the fast eddie tracks as his first, just due to the fact that it was fast eddie and that it saved my workday by repeating "jack to the sound on the underground" in my mind again and again.
