downloaded the demo, really liked it. Total opposite of COD etc and really emotive, the music was really eerie too adding to the game. Its a definate procure when I get the dosh..

Luckily i booted down 10 min before 0:00 28-02-2010 and read your message, so my phat is hopefully unaffected, but I still wont boot it till I get the go-go-go directive from Sony...

you got a slim one klart? I wouldnt boot a old one if I was you, it suxx, but maybe there must be more patched than just reset the systemclock. Not likely, but then again...Now the x360 can works it way again to a RROD

I've been using it in the past days but I had no issue whatsoever.. I have a non slim PS3...
But I did not connect to the PS network, just used locally to stream some movies from my UPnP server in my LAN.

So might be that I am ok for that...
But even if I lost my savegames, who cares... I have only three games, one of those I completed with all the trophies and
whatnot, the other two I don't care smile

anyone here order final fantasy 13? been hearing lots of good comments and lots of hype but i saw the trailer for myself and wasn't too impressed. nothing in the trailer made me think that final fantasy series has gone back to their old ways and created a top notch game. oh well.. we'll find out when it's released soon.. i don't know why i even complain, i don't have a ps3 yet   tongue

BTW that yakuza 3 is awesome hehe. There is a demo on PSN store

Indeed alot of the mood of ShenMue, in a good way.

Reminds me of the Dreamcast days, not a graphic spactacle, but just fun to play tongue
The Karaoke is a bit too much for me, but the rest of the content is cool

I preordered the big edition with 4 DLC packs included.

Also in the PSN store the Just Cause II demo, WOOT!
I love the V1 version and played that alot, its a blend between FarCry and Mercenaries 2, but more fun and the gfx are are very good in this one...gotta grab that aswell...

I like the fact there' s 4 different endings, think i' m nearly done as Ethan has got his final clue. A very emotive game.......way different from the rest of the pack.

I just have seen a review about Heavy Rain that I think made sense. The biggest complaint of the reviewer while you play you do a lot of ´normal´ stuff which in normal life is boring but you need to do... like opening the car door, put the seatbelt on, insert the carkey, turn the key and start... and so on. Then you do not get to car to drive, but a movie clip does start. So the game takes you for a ride and does the driving for you.
Then the game gets you emotional involved as for an example a child drowns and violin music softly comes in for dramatic the effect.
Doing this inna game is pretty new, but I agree this is far from revolutionary...
Like the new remake of the ´Taking of the Pelham 123´ I saw recently, it isnt really a bad movie but the artificial flashy editing, and constantly moving camera for any shot suggests action and tension while it is not truly there.
