Is the big bar on the beginning of Nieuwe Binnenweg serve dinner ? I've been there, drink a beer,  at least once with every rotterdamer I visited. It could be a good place to have a big group dinner.
I had a great one in Lulu (Van Vollenhoven Straat), but it's small, and surely more expensive

Die rotiwinkel op de Schiedamsedijk, Midnight Roti Company, heeft ook zeer goede roti's.
Wel een beetje louche sfeer daar (lijkt af en toe wel een bordeel roll, zeker met (salsa)caf
