Could anyone please identify the drum machine (or at least snare drum, if there should be mixed samples) of Parallax Corporation - "Crocodiles in the sky"?
It sounded a bit like a self-generated snare sound, but since I also heard it on another song recently, I think it might be a drum machine...

Could anyone please identify the drum machine (or at least snare drum, if there should be mixed samples) of Parallax Corporation - "Crocodiles in the sky"?
It sounded a bit like a self-generated snare sound, but since I also heard it on another song recently, I think it might be a drum machine...
sounds like an 808 combined with the noise-snare of a drumsynth.
Well of course the main rhythm is an 808 (you can also hear a 808 snare), but I heard that same noisy snare in another song recently (I think it was in the Minimal Wave special of Astro Unicorn Radio which I listen to now and then), maybe I'll check out again what song that was...
