Re: Robots for Robots Fright Club
can't think of anything specific, but its usually the films with freaky young girls or old women that scare me the most.

I like the psychological scares, there's gotta be something really fukt up lurking...cant get into zombies, vampires n gosts too much...
Like when there's some kind of sect or a really twisted secret society kinda stuff
This one is fucking scary, especially the end....rrrrrrrrrrrand getting now again - 666 MB, why are they doing this to me
This Belgian flick also hits pretty hard :
dont watch alone...
these sound good. ta.

nice one, got a coupla students that look like this
I saw "The Midnight Meat Train" the other day and it really surprised me. I had never heard about this movie until that day.
It's based on a short story by Clive Barker. Very good.
By the way, the Books of Blood by Clive Barker are amazing. Lots of excellent movie ideas there. Have you read them? There's a story called "In the Hills, the Cities". It really amazed me and since I read it for the first time, I'm hoping for somebody to make a movie out of it.
loved the idea in that one as well...great one
Just seen there is a Rec 2.
anyone seen it? Like the look of the trailer...

Yeah I've seen it. Liked the first one better, the story goes a little crazy in this one.
techni - for sure man. Might give it a miss then, for just now anyway.

yeah, freaky little kids always scare fuck out of me.
Ive got this waiting for tonight...
A woman brings her family back to her childhood home, where she opens an orphanage for handicapped children. Before long, her son starts to communicate with an invisible new friend.
The Orphanage? its got an almost happy ending.
Rec 2 doesn't have anything like the build up of the first, where they end up in that attic with the freak. "Pablo! Pablooooo!!!"
ah, thats pretty good actually. heavy 70's but decent. Good soundtrack. Its like a hammer horror zombie flick.
This one is pretty revolting, but I can't help thinking it's well worth watching.
dead girl was worth watching, didn't expect to like it but it surprised me.
@miravalles, thx for the book recommendation, will def check that!
i'd say this movie is always at the top of my list, it still freaks the shit out of me. (i grew up 2 miles from where the actual possessed boy lived in maryland that inspired the movie)
I'd go for these..
And this one got me by the balls...big time.
Im not a huge fan of the 'gore' genre, but I really enjoyed Martyrs too. Deadgirl sounds interesting techni. Thanks.
I've decided to dinghy The Orphanage in search of a less happy ending.
Just about to sit and watch:
YES!

this is that Korean movie Two Sisters or somesuch?
if so, double recommend! not much gore that i remember, but an atmos like a bad trip
Yeah that's two sisters. Haven't seen it myself, but definitely going to check it out.
La Horde - so so, cheap filmmaking with one REALLY good scene. It's towards the end and worth watching just for that.
A lot of people headbutting zombies though haha.
A lot of people headbutting zombies though haha.
Isn't that the dumbest way to attack a zombie tho?
yes, it's one of the worst, but these guys are pretty good at it!

it depends on your age if the scare factor is high
cannot say then i'm frightened anymore after watching horror
but i have to agree with meschi on the first post though "ju-on".. that's some scary shit
zombi, cannibal re animators.. and the likes, even seeing the exorcist made me laugh, for me it's more comedy then horror
a classic that got me scared as a kid was some itialian crap flick about a motorcycle gang that killed themself and came back as zombi bikers
all had to do with some freakin' frog.. hehe man i forgot the title, would like to see it again..
oh oh those classic vhs times.. well that was something.. haha

oh man! if you ever remember I would love to see that too!
*was it called Eaters?
ok, so me and my bro stayed up late to watch A Tale of Two Sisters, and although I enjoyed it, I found it lacking in the scare factor. I jumped a couple of times, mainly at disturbing apparitions.
Its a slow mover, but half way through and at the end it really fucks with your head. Good film, not so scary...
do you reckon you get more scared when you're in a cinema though, as opposed to sitting at home in your oversized leather chair in your socks all comfy and shit with a Nandos?
haha. Don't get me wrong. Everythings more comfortable with a Nandos, but... I reckon you get more scared in the house, with fewer people, lights off, loud as fuck.
Dunno when I last went to the cinema to see a scary film though.
