Pleasantly surprised, looks pretty awesome. Expensive though.

Re: Roland TR-1000

Every social media feed I have is full of this. Congrats to Roland for the effective campaign then I guess. I feel they're kinda late to the party with this machine as it looks like its their take on an Elektron machine.
On the other hand there are hardly machines that can over such versatility while still offering excellent sound it seems. The analog Rytm maybe, but it has way less knobs.

Re: Roland TR-1000

Too expensive for me, but seems neat. I wish drum machines and grooveboxes looked crazy again like the command stations and electribes used to. I want to see bright colors, wild colors.

Yeah, a boon for the synth-fluencers for sure. Definitely seems they're looking to compete with Elektron with this, had that thought myself. I don't get along with Elektron gear, so nice to have an alternative out there (cost aside and I'm not in the market anyways, but still.)

@Dade yeah, it's kinda blah-looking. Like, it's fine just kinda boring.

I think the 1000 looks elegant. But I'd take an ensoniq Fizmo-colored drum machine any day big_smile

Re: Roland TR-1000

It looks pretty solid. Havent heard it myself yet.
I wonder though if the price is justified in this era.
Think within a year or so we'll be able to find these for 50% on second hand marketplaces ( i hope ).

Re: Roland TR-1000

Had a closer look at it. Analog sounds, better sample capabilities, more knobby and some extra sequencing power when compared to the TR-8s (I have the 6s). But I don't feel I really need any of this, as the tr-Xs machines are almost too feature-packed for a drum machine, for my taste. So certainly wouldn´t pay that money.

But hey of course I don't mind of one accidentally lands on my desk big_smile
