Saluti, signore e signori for the seconda edizione of Forza Italo where we bring you our Euro 2O12 Finale speciale. Returning to our home ground of the Terrazza di Odessa, this installment will feature the climax of UEFA’s premier international tournament sandwiched by the finest in vintage Italo discs you have come to expect from i tuoi amici at Forza Italo.
We hope to see you there for more first-class football & Italo action. Our giallo movie showing takes a break this month but weather-permitting, we should have a delicious BBQ offering on the Terrazza. Short of being in the Olympic Stadium, Kiev where else could you enjoy the evening so much?
First up, DJ Stefano Crosserini will be hosting a barbeque on the terrazza accompanied by a soundtrack of Apollo-esque good-time summer cuts and slo-mo robofunk jams. Following that at 19.00, we switch over to a live transmission from the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine for the showcase game of the tournament where we will undoubtedly observe the Azzuri take on a team yet to be confirmed (but it’s probably Spain, tbh).
Following the match, DJ Sebastian Simonetti will drop some heartbreakers to serenade the losing team as they walk away in despair from their life’s ambition which was in touching distance...surely the embodiment of some of the finest dischi di Italo ever put to wax. But life, as with football, has winners and losers and the games must go on...
Next up, hailing from Casa di Firenze, DJ Barri Di Novano will enter the Odessa coliseum to hail the champions with a winning selection of golden Italo hammers. Representing the familia Discoteca Lunare, Di Novano is as well known in the exclusive clubs of the Amalfi coast to the dive bars in his spiritual home of Liverpool for his primo selezione. We are grazie mille to have Barri down to rock the floor of Forza Italo to bring us through to full time.
