[London] 8 December: Cajmere & Funkineven

The fifth Beyond The Clouds party celebrates the release of a new Cajual records retrospective LP - Only 4 U: The Sound of Cajmere & Cajual Records (Strut).

Your headliner on the night will be Cajmere himself - the man behind Cajual and Relief records and the producer of too many game-changing house tracks to list here. Percolator, Brighter Days, Only For U, Dreamstates, Feelin' Kinda High - he's made some of the most unique and enduring records in house history and his influence will be felt for many years to come. Booking Cajmere has been a longstanding ambition of ours. He's not DJed in London for a long, long time and if his recent sets at a host of top European clubs are anything to go by, we're all in for a treat.

To support him, we've booked a house legend in the making - Eglo's FunkinEven. Over the last three years, FunkinEven's released some of the freshest dance music ever to come out of the UK, tracks that speak the same language as Cybotron, Armando and George Clinton, but with a distinct London accent. He's released two of the biggest underground dance hits of the year - 'Phoneline' with Fatima and 'Night' with Kyle Hall - and his DJing reflects the same broad frame of reference as his productions, taking in boogie, acid, electro, garage and anything else that's good.
