Topic: electribe and mirokorg question

Maybe a stupid question but,I have a track, Electribe is the master and sends tempo information to the microKorg

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

I guess you mean connecting to the midi interface...

Can you explain your problem more in detail?

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

Take a pic of the routing on your moble and post! But it sounds like you need to set up a MIDI dasychain..

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

yes,i want to have that track with the sequence in Logic(all the midi notes of the electribe and micro arpeggio),the problem is that Electribe is the master and sends tempo information so i am using the  midi cables and the in and out ports of eletribe and microkorg, so i can

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

Is something like that

yeah, im in underwear.

pd: the connection is easy:   electribe midi in to microkorg midi out and electribe midi out to microkorg midi in(two cables)

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

I'm not sure on your question but I am pretty sure your issue is that the korg does not send arpeggio information. They have a wak way of doing arp's that wont record on your sequencer well anyway not as arp notes. That is one good reason i never bought one.

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

Why you wanna connect the microK midi out to the elektribe?
Logic midi out to elektribe, thru from there to the microkorg.
The electribe and microK will get the midi clock from logic.
Then you patch both midi outs into your computer and you record all the midi data you want by tweaking the knobs...
Be sure to set all the midi filters in logic to Off or it will ignore some data...

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

put both from and to the card to the microkorg midithrough from microkorg to the elektribe, or switch korg and tribe around if that also has through.

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

page 50 of the manual deals with recording arp info.
i just tested it with logic and it works.

Underwear.. Errr? rocking with ya pants out!

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

ok, but not when being externally triggered. doh!
i guess you just need to record the arps using the micro with global position: PoS and midi local: on

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

have you tried logics arp?
its pretty good
you could definately get the same sort of panty jam effect your after!

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

i know this is not going to solve your problem but it is a nice trick:
when recording arps from the MCK you can either record just the notes you hit on the keyboard or all of the arpeggiated notes by changing the POSITION function under global from PRE to POST

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

oh i take back my comments seems korg now has a way to output arp notes as honey says...very nice. Might think about getting r3 now.

Re: electribe and mirokorg question

yes, but it only outputs them when being played locally in 'post' position.
