microkorg not my master

i recently purchased a midi interface and set it up port for port through logic.
with everything stationary the input corresponding to the microkorg is flashing with the rest of the panel remaining unlit as it should.
i thought at first it was a clock setting but the problem persists in external mode.
the input does turn to a solid light when micro is set to internal clock....
it doesn't appear to be effecting the connection in any way but the flashing is driving me nuts. any suggestions?
