thanks!

actually, the jive guys created this break themselves. or rather, the willesden dodgers - a uk-based production team - did it for jive. wink

Re: need help ... jive rhythm trax break

i know but they remade a bunch of classics on those albums theres also a pacjam rip off on there.

its on the more jive rhythm trax album, i also have scratchtracks albums which also has remakes, like hip hop be bop don't stop and atomic dog.

exactly
the whole thing was just rhythm tracks remakes of famous hits
i remember a list somewere that had them all worked out, but easy ones are:

152 - tainted love
a114 - forget me nots
b114 - why can't we live together
101 - the mesage
112 - pacjam (thanks j)
anotha was Collonel Abrhams - not gonna let etc etc

intresting tidbit is that not only dance people used them but i remember them getting played in lots of collage type
radio shows(the industrial/experimental type, like the wednesday nights on amsterdams radio 100) it's even on one
of the F.A.R releases with classical music on top

'Sing while you may - lullabies for the new dark ages'

Re: need help ... jive rhythm trax break

interesting piece of information.

however, gmf & f5 REALLY did sample jive rhythm trax (1982) for survival/message II (1983).
jive rhythm trax seems to be based on another popular tune: planet rock. the beat (kick + snare) is identical, and they even emulated that famous orchestral stab from planet rock.

i started to write the original tracks there indeed. wasn't there also a blondie track?

@jayoverdose: scratch trax; is dat niet met die wackie scratch geluiden erdoor, vond die een beetje tegenvallen.

Re: need help ... jive rhythm trax break

no you mean scratchtracks compilation mix album done by ben liebrand i mean a jive doublealbum done by the same guys as the rhythm trax ones again, it's pretty cool.

the ben liebrand is a waste of vinyl, have to listen to the jive one again then... i remember being a bit disappointed, expecting it to be more like the rhythm trax maybe.
