Topic: Dario Dell Aere - Pressingfault??
I'm going nuts here. Is it out of tone or not?
judge for yourself.
at 4 specific points starting @ 1.12 just before the vocals

Yes, unforunately, it is !!! I am disappointed, too.
so you two have the same problem at the exact same timing ?
do you talk of the recent repress ?
yes my copy has 2 sort of pitch bends... in the 1st 2 mins
What's the difference between this and the original version? Is there any?
does it effect the bpm or just the pitch?
how is the sound quality otherwise?
already three people.... well that's a general failure apprently
haven't received my copy yet...
@ kuczera
hm, after checking the original on youtube i think that "out of tone" thing is normal, no?

@ queen, no i don't hear it in the original
that was the first thing i've checked, also a mp3 i have.
i mailed jeroen @ iventi.. let's see what happens
can you please upload it with something else than sendspace? it keeps giving ''full capacity''..
^ i have a megaupload account but i don't know how it works
checking
Bender = faster

good
I also hear, that there is something wrong with the reissue, while the original on youtube sounds ok to me...
...btw...
well clone sold many copies.... I hope they're not all like that....
Shit, bought 3 copies and was happy with them until I read this bad news. Checked and they all suffer from this unsteadiness of tone. Don't know the original that well so I thought it was meant like this... The original on the youtube-clip sounds more steady.
still preferabble over saftey copy though? (or whichever bootleg it was) i mean, listening to that sample, it wouldnt bother me too much, but it would be nice if iventi repressed them so they were fine...if you are reading this iventi
sound quality is ace! maybe master tape problem.?....( if they used that) those pitch shifts are audible but won't affect the mix, I hear it 2 times in the 1st 2 minutes, after that it runs normal
thanks for the rapidshare download..
thats no pressing fault. thats a fault in the conversion of the master.. i don't know what was used, but either the record player if the master was taken from vinyl, or the tape recorder if its from the original master tape, doesn't have a steady motor. there's also the remote possibility that it happened while cutting the acetate, but cutters usually have perfect quartz locked motors..
edit: it could be corrected with ahy audio editor though.. so maybe if iventi do a second pressing, they can do a good one..
^ they mastered it from vinyl, i think, cause i can hear clicks/pops
so a unsteady turntable could be causing the problem
funny thing is, the submitter on discogs from this release is steadyeddy
according to jeroen it has been mastered from the original tapes
so it remains a mystery
well the tape is probably damaged, i thought it sounded like tape stretching or something. i'll still get it when i get the coins together
Huh... Could be a manufacturing fault??
Reminds me of this record in my collection. Same symptom by the sounds of it, but if you looked ever so closely at the record itself, it was almost like the grooves were oval shaped which caused the pitch to wobble slightly.
Very rare "Somewhere In Detroit" record you could only buy at Submerge. When I went back years later and found a repress, I was thrilled. ...until I got home and guess what?? Same thing.
