only italian can produce a bunch of fancy adjectives, that are hard to translate, but then again sound so juicy you can almost taste them.
anyway, my italian sucks so feel free to correct whatever i got wrong, but the review says sth in the lines of:
i literally fell in love with dissident, a label trying "full time" to keep alive the love to a certain kind of electro that is diyng progressivly. spacelex comes from berlin. his music is often reffered to as "pure analogue italo-esque music". the sound is "future-retro" taking inspiration in synth pop and new wave from the 80s. "pretty face"- ( which has nothing to do with styloo's track of the same name from 1983) has a massive vocoder line superimposed on a "slowed down mystic disco beat" and old school synth melodies swarming? around. (aaaaa l'italiano!!!) the enchanting "happy birthday" uses a more classic vocoder style and shows all the electro disco creativity, viewlexx style. the release is, as usual, ultra limited.
hey ice thanks a lot for your hard translation work. spAceLex is not a trio iam alone as Dj and Producer BUT i have done tracks with friends like Zuckerstaub, Cosmotron Synthetika and Tanz mit mir (rmx) for Christian Zander. Our "Project" is called Suizid Faktor. i have uploaded the tracks on my page because this project has no page. thats maybe a little bit confusing.
