I have searched in wikipedia and they say that they use reaktor, now reaktor is used as a standalone or vst, both ? how they use it ? in another sequencer ? why they use reaktor ?
Reaktor is a modular enviroment where you can basically build everything you can imagine, synthesizers, effects, beat manipulators etc etc. It can be used both as standalone and vst

Take: bum,bum,chk,terdurdler,tck.tic,bum,bum,tck,chktrtzzzzzzz. rpt orally very fast indeed, sample, ring mod, separate in to individual sounds,(smoke a lot of weed) then program them to within a inch of your life; add one live jazz beard, mix and serve to the 1990's.
i dunno, but i like mr pusher when he doesn't have his jazz noodle hat on. and him, aphex and springheel jack (and a little bit of 4hero) did it for me, back in the day.
What i really don't understand is why duh un buh still exists.

The best one is "Music Is Rotted One Note". Quite different from all other Jenkinson releases. Something for true jazz lovers.

My favourite Squarepusher is U.F.O.'s Over Leytonstone...beautifully dark and haunting.

as for reaktor, i don't sure aphex used it but read somewhere that squaerpusher did, it a nice tool depends what you doing with it

I read an interview with Luke Vibert once, who said that T. Jenkinson made a really nice and squelchy acidbass in reaktor.
Reaktor is pretty mad. Theres a lot of user patches made that people make available, but i'd imagine these guys maybe roll their own. I haven't used it for years but I used to sketch out what i wanted on paper and give it to a programmer friend who would turn them into working machines. I always wish i'd got a nord modular rather than reaktor though, much more musically useful.
Its hard to say whether they would be running reaktor as stand alone or a plug-in. depends on their overall working methods. I used it to generate some sounds and them load them into a sampler. I think it's quite popular with IDM type people as the sample manipulating tools are quite comprehensive. Mr de uses it as well so I guess its capable of some nice stuff too.
I like the Chaos A.D. release from Squarepusher.
Aphex doing a live isn't that much fun when it's just pushing play.
What I really want to know is what drummachine he used on some tracks in the early days or maybe its just samples

I'm pretty sure it's an R8. I can recognize those bass and snare drums.
With the other sounds, I think he has been playing with the pitch/tranpose function.. and then maybe some phaser on top..

yes his early stuff analogue bubblebath, digeridoo, caustic window, ambient vol 1 classic et al is among my all time favourite stuff ever made

interesting read, not relevant for Reaktor, but some decription of the use of Max/MSP by Autechre.... and the rest they have got in the studio.
I spent the last couple of days at work pissing about with MSP objects and I can't stop...
I think they just jam al lot with (semi) modular stuff and extract samples from that.
