Topic: marco borsato meets Bobby O?

Somebody must have asked this before, or is it just Me?

Did Marco Borsato steal His Dutch underground classic: De "meeste dromen zijn bedrog"
from Lian Ross - Say You'll never?

Re: marco borsato meets Bobby O?

I would say its Riccardo Fogli with his track Storie di tutti I Giorni.

Re: marco borsato meets Bobby O?

Lian Ross is produced by Bobby To <= is that an alias of Bobby O?

Doesn't seem so: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Bobby+To

B.t.w. Fantasy has some vague simularities with De Meeste Dromen Zijn Bedrog but I wouldn't say that the one stole from the other. If you say that Fantasy stole its sound from Modern Talking (maybe they stole it again from someone else) etc.

"Are you loving?"

riccardo is from 1982
the lian ross track is from 1985

and riccardo fogli is officially credited in the liner notes of "dromen zijn bedrog"

soooooooo... that lian ross track sounds like a different track btw, only some similar chords or something like that

I was actually talking about "Say you'll never" and there the chords do sound the same,
but its probably just very much alike then. And I misread the label on the record
indeed it is Bobby To. Never heard from the man before. Thanks for clearing this out people

Still cant help that when I play the record Marco Borsato starts singing in My head yikes

Re: marco borsato meets Bobby O?

I like the Marco Borsato version more. Although I hate everything about him and his songs. but if I have to choose....

A pity I know the lyrics from my head of hearing it too much in the past.

Re: marco borsato meets Bobby O?

Same here. Its the 538 syndrom. Tracks that You really dont wanna hear are being pluged into Your mind
from the radio at the office, in stores, Mac D.. aargh..
