Topic: edit - Candido - Thousand Finger Man

Hi y'all.

Here's an edit I did a while ago of Candido's Thousand Finger Man. It's not that imaginative but I think it's quite nice. Feedback/criticism appreciated...

Also, I want to do more edits cause I really enjoyed making this one. Has anyone got any tips, approaches, trick or things to try?

can you explain a little on what you tried to achieve with the edit, what did you have in mind?

yeah, it would be a pretty magical function if it actually did that... smile

Basically all I wanted to do was strip out the really danceable bits, like the piano, synth and a bit of vocal. I think the original is an amazing tune, but there are certain parts I really like, so wanted to make a bigger deal of them. Love Ron Hardy/Theo Parrish/KDJ edits too, so was trying to make something a little in that direction too...

imo, the original is perfetctly straightforward danceable deep house tune, but for the almost complete lack of bass.

if you like your own edit, put it in your own mix
you must've liked your own work to post it here, so why not try putting the edit into a context. i.e a mix, then post that?
i assume your a DJ, so lets hear how you'd use it.
