Topic: Party/Records/Gear/Food in NY and LA?....

Will be staying in NY the coming week, and the one after in LA, so if you have any suggestions about where to go eat/listen/buy/smell/touch/dance/see/hang out in both places, would be more than welcome!
Especially interested in gear, records and places with good music, but anything else you would recommend would be of great assistance smile

A1 records.  The East Village also has a few good stores(sorry can't remember their names)

Take a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge and spend some time and shop in Brooklyn.
