Topic: 606 sequencer TRouble

I recently plugged in my Drumatix after a couple of years of being in storage.
It was in top shape when i packed it up (was stored cool and dry in a flight case)

now when i fire it up and hit run/stop it plays as if the sequence is 1 beat long and wont extend sad
it does seem like the sequence is playing in some fashion, as the tempo does slow the 1beat loop up and down
i can get samples from it by pressing Tap on each drum but we all know thats just not the same.

can anybot help me resurrect my old friend  Drumatix?

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

Don't you just have to extend the pattern to 16 steps in write mode?
Press function + the 16'th step button or something like that, I think.
When I turn mine on, it always start with some strange default patterns because the battery is dead.

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

@Netrom cheers!
have tried that button combo and others already, but wont extend!
i can however do it in pattern mode (like 1>4 5>8 etc...)
mmmm puzzling!

did you also checked for leaking batteries?

and do you run it stand-alone or in sync-mode?

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

sounds like what netrom says indeed. make sure it's in write mode and running.

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

how hard is it to change the battery? i have the same situation as netrom...

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

it's pretty easy if you have some experience with electronics. just open the battery cover, take out the old batteries if there are any, and replace them with new ones.

Re: 606 sequencer TRouble

thanks for the response folks!

@Freek

did you also checked for leaking batteries? always!

and do you run it stand-alone or in sync-mode? both but am trying in stand alone at the mo

i thought this might be some kinda known hardware problem?

my friend has one thats totally mashed and just makes really odd sounds!

OK, hmm.. what else can we try?

erasing all patterns?
running on batteries?
another din-sync cable?
another adaptor?
play and/or track mode?
opening it up for a good clean?
other master-sync?
(input/output switch?)

I once had a similar problem, looked like the whole thing was jammed.. believe it had something to do with the start/stop button or sync-socket but I'm not sure anymore..
