ego was great and sometimes really crazy!! sad its no more.
partys there were indeed great! and if you went a bit higher to another floor there was a dark and almost empty room, with nothing else but a chair, a table and 1 old pc, where you could play space invaders or sometimes that tennis game.
was fun!

i know all those partys, from the ones in a public mini restroom to those in the sewerage. a few were good, but especially at the ego i could see the downward spirale from good stuff to boring kompakt minimal stuff.
the only parties with continual good stuff was by the "active underground" mid90s, and some parties with dj juicy snare (who also was at the ego (afair))..(btw best party i was djing was at a teardown house at the harbor with a room voll of steel) the rest was boring trance/gay house/pseudo arty bullshit.
und 30jahre hat nichts zu heissen, solange ich strom habe kann ich auch auffem mond leben. nevertheless, the last weeks in ddorf were really the end. when i came home from work to the central station..i couldn see the station anymore, i couldnt see the 709 to unterbilk anymore, i couldnt see unterbilk anymore.
that have nothing to do with some really nice people i still know in d

if you like to buy clothes you should look around in flingern, wich has a few little shops. nice cafes are also there around the hermannsplatz/lindenstrasse. i really can recommend the "skandal" wich is a little pub and open nearly the whole night. sometimes you can join some rare and secret parties in the ak47, wich is a "club" at the top of the kiefernstrasse. 
also recommendet is the waschsalon in flingern, wich has nice musical events sometimes.
a good butcher is metzgerei s

yes, captain flingern was ment. i think this guy has some serious trouble since they found something about 125 marie-plants in the backyard. the website is down too.
in f-stadt you could try "blende" but i guess you won
