Topic: Fate by Numbers - a film noire adventure game
Fate by Numbers is a sci-fi noir adventure game that uses full-motion video. You assume the role of Alice Sanger, private eye. She is assigned to get a briefcase, but quickly finds herself immersed in a web of corruption and shadowy motives. What follows is a mysterious journey through the layers of a future metropolis influenced by the style of noir movies from the 1950s.
On a personal note: one of the four students who made this game is my cousin. She showed it to me over a year ago but -me being a busy loser- i didn't pay much attention. I just found the game at some free-game site and surprised by the fact that the game had quite some press coverage (including a side note on the NY times) and has been downloaded a lot.
