Topic: DK80 vs 808

Thought I'd try out the DK80.  Multitracked in cubase:

Sounds great koova.  I recently passed on a DK80 and this has me wondering if perhaps I made the wrong decision.

Thanks smile

After reading the schematics on Sanders Siel page I opened it up and adjusted the resonance so the filters are a bit more squelchy but also after I recorded it into cubase I added some chorus and delay which brightened it up a bit.   The string sound which runs all the way through the track is the chord hold function which is pretty cool.  The internal battery looks like a pig to change as you have to remove the keyboard and the pcb but the DK-80 came with the original memory card so I changed the battery in that which was pretty easy and just use the card to save any patches I create.  I'd recommend the DK80 if you can get one cheap enough but don't spend too much money as it's not something to lust after.
