Though more Hi-NRG this sounds a bit EBM to me (because of the German?)

And this maybe?

And you can try the EBM/Synthpop-forum on discogs perhaps. Here they got a topic about EBM-classics:

That sounds so much like some track off of "Don't Blow Your Top" by KMFDM!!!

but its older Warning rule! esp. their 2nd LP. But `Why Can The Bodies Fly` is their big hit here in Deutschland (known from Tatort) - we can call it pre-EBM, no?!
I was heavily into ebm a while ago and besides pure belgian ebm (242, Klinik, Insekt) I really dug those techno/hardbeat/ebm hybrids championed by german Techno Drome International and New Zone labels, numerous projekts by Torsten Fenslau..
Check out Negrosex - Tekno La Droga, Klangwerk - Klangwerk, etc.

@deutschmark
What's KMFDM?
@Captain Duran
Yes, got that LP. It sounds more (hard)rock even.
how you gonna talk about EBM and not know KMFDM?
@deutschmark
What's KMFDM?
well actually I haven't said a word about KMFDM but if you ask me I loved 'em when I was like 18 or something
Money, Angst and Naive were my favourite albums
watching Sascha K still releasing like 2 or 3 albums a year without any difference between each other and still pretending to be that revolutionary cyberpunk guy I can say with confidence: KMFDM SUCKS

you could hardly find something more dated than good ol' KMFDM
O.k. thanks for your info on KMFDM (which you mentioned in this sentence b.t.w "That sounds so much like some track off of "Don't Blow Your Top" by KMFDM!!!"). A bit tragic to hear that he's still doing the same thing. I guess there's still a market for it?
Never was really into EBM and only know the hits/classics probably. To me it's a bit like Gabber. Nice for a while but not too long. That doesn't say it's not worth getting into (on the contrary).

mm, not quite sure about the market.. I guess it's mostly firm supporters from the 90s and a bunch of nostalgic dudes who still can take it seriously..
and hey it was Bankie Phones who said about "doncha blow your top"!
@ Scarface. I think the first LP by Warning is way more "hard rock" - the second is more electonique, thats why I like it better. Strange sound somehow, but special. And the Single is a bit more pre EBM I would say. I like the description on discogs: ...one hit wonder.

Ah, sorry for barking up the wrong tree for that sentence.. Maybe Bankie Jones can tell which track he means cause the track with the same name "Don't Blow Your Top" (just had a listen) doesn't sound anything like "Why Can The Bodies Fly" (???)
And yes, probably enough die hards who still support EBM and what came after that. I even like to hear it myself now and then (but not too long as said). More into New Beat actually but also now and then.
