Topic: Kumbh Mela 2010

My vacations are in april.

Today, a few hours ago, I decided to go to India. Coincidentally, in april, there's going to have this huge sacred bath in the river Ganges, in the city of Haridwar. It's part of the Kumbh Mela, the biggest religious event in the planet. Billions and billions of people.

Maybe I should have planned it earlier, since it's so many people. But fuck it. I'll go anyway and see what happens.

Any robots planning to travel to India this period? Anyone want to swim with me in the river Ganges?

Of course, any tips are more than welcome.

@ mr maximal - hahaha

@ miravalles - that's going to be insane! india seems like a lovely place to go. i love indian food and i'm sure if you're on the hunt for records it shouldn't be hard to track down some cool bollywood grooves. doing it during the kumbh mela is a great idea too i think, there might be a shitload of people and might be very hectic but it'll be worth it for the once in a lifetime experience. if i could go i'd definitely go for a swim with ya!

Re: Kumbh Mela 2010

I just saw "Short Cut to Nirvana: Kumbh Mela", a new film by Maurizio Benazzo and Nick Day. It's a loving homage to the 2001 Maha Kumbh Mela, held on the outskirts of Allahabad, at the confluence of Ganga and Yamuna rivers.its fun and entertaining, but most important for me it was really inspiring. it really opened my eyes.
