Topic: C64 real time audio effect

Mahoney, who last time made an MP3 player for a STOCK C64, has now pushed the barriers of C64 sound to levels beyond imagination.

This crazy dude has managed to squeeze REAL  TIME AUDIO effects out of the stock, 1 MHz Commodore 64.
It does filter/EQ, echo, tube distortion, ‘Grungelizer’, compression, dithering, VOCODING and TIME STRETCH. Really ridiculous.

Yeah, they indeed are!!! True legends .. I remember those days wink damn I'm old ...  big_smile .. It's so heartwarming to see that those old geezers are keeping the scene spirit alive still after all these years

Re: C64 real time audio effect

When I first read of the C64 multi effect, I was really impressed by the coding knowledge of this swedish guy...
then while I was reading his website I discovered he is one of the singers of Visa Röster (the guys who sings acappella the
tracks from the C64 games, among others).
Then I saw his former demoscene nickname, "mahoney"... and I thought as well "huh, maybe he is the mahoney in the
mahoney and kaktus...", and in fact he is!

I remember back in the days that I was still active in the scene that I was in touch with him because of the tracker and
because of some (later) coding efforts for some demos between my Amiga group and him that unluckily never saw the light..

I should send him an email, maybe he still remembers of AlexD/ACBS smile
