Topic: Any Memory Man w/ Hazarai users?
I'm after a clean (i.e. digital) delay with looping capabilities, and this seems like a good candidate. Anyone here use this thing? Any alternatives I should look out for?

i've never used one, but i have a friend who swears by his and he is very picky about his delays.
My wifey got me one for my bday a few years ago...I really like it...lots of possibilities...the multi-tap reverses are my fav...also seems to be built slightly better then some of the newer EHX stuff (i'm looking at you Holy Grail)
For looping I'd say you would have to go with this one. http://www.ehx.com/products/2880
Jamie Lidell uses it live and it kicks ass.....
Oh yeah the 2880 seems like a great looper for sure, but I'm more into the idea of a delay that can also loop, rather than a straight up looper. I'll definitely be doing more delaying (?) than looping. After checking out some demo videos I think I will go for the MMwH. Thanks robots!
i think digitech had a delay w/ 8 second loop at one time. maybe it was called the echoplus or something? not sure what type of loop features you want but i remember that being a cool low-fi loop.
also 2880 is pretty cool. there's a great band out of baltimore called the water that are a two piece and loop drums, guitars and synths all in real time to build their songs. they use the 2880 w/ contact mics on their kit so they can make these cool low-fi sounding drum loops during breaks in their songs.
Were you thinking of the Digitech RDS 8000? I have the RDS 4000 (same thing but with 4 seconds max). It's pretty cool, but the loop mode doesn't let you overdub or anything like that. The delay is lo-fi digital, but not really in an interesting way for me. I actually keep it around because I love how it sounds as a flanger.
The loop features I'm on the lookout for are pretty standard...overdub, playback speed, playback direction. MMwH seems to have that covered, as well as some nifty delay modes. I went out yesterday to pick one up, but no one here had them in stock.
yeah that's it, only the pedal form which is the PDS 8000. i wasn't sure if you were looking for something low-fi or w/ a few more capabilities (and time). awesome you use the 4000 as a flanger!
