everybody is talking about it but I don't even know what it is lol
It's a bit like a cross between email, a forum, chat and editing on a document together.
I think it will be good for collaborating on documents or code. I'm not sure yet it'll be good for more social things.

i like the sound of it, particularly the operation platform within the browser, this will make it quite successful i think.
doesn't it pretty much sync up with those networking sites that provide regular updates? seems like it can only replace these eventually. a music collaboration feature would be an interesting addition.
I'm on the "This wave is dedicated to all the wavers in the nation"-wave. 
Use Chrome for more functionality in the wave.
Forgot that i have a dinner thing tonight. So i will have more invites and add you all late tonight.
It's quite unstable though, and after a few dozen posts it slowed down a lot for me, the point where it was borderline unusable.

wtf is the point of google wave?
there are already blogs with more than one account/profile. there is already irc. there is already email. there is already twitter.
google: just. stop.
Why? Because they can.
Think of it as irc with a GUI. A very, very buggy GUI that they launched too soon and over hyped. Anyway... We'll see what comes out of it.

editing documents together sounds great, need something like that at the moment
