Topic: Adobe cs3/cs4 tutorials

Hey robots,
I'm currently trying to teach and make myself more familiar with the well known adobe design programs, namely Indesign but also photoshop.

Now I know that there are dozens, billions of different tutorials on the web and torrents. Anyobody knows one that is really good?? A lot of tutorials are just videos with guys babling mad like they're introducing you into a talkshow -
What I'm more searching for are step by step files with speechbubbles that give you the explainations.

Would even pay for one if I know it's quality. smile

I think the best way to learn is just to try stuff yourself and discover the possibilities of each software. Use the right software for the right job. I always learned alot by trying to make an exact copy of some design. Kinda like a tutorial. So for example take a record cover you like and try to duplicate it in illustrator. Then try to make the file really clean. Not a chaos of layers and weird constructions of shapes but a clean workfile that could be send to a printshop or to someone else to work on it. Try to keep in mind that a clean file will help future edit go much smoother becuse yo don't have to spend 3 hours figuring out how things are organized. Imo working organized saves you a lot of time and frustration in long term.

photoshoop is pretty simple. good program to start with (the rest works almost the same).
learn the basics, start with the tools, then how layers work and so on...
